Custom Picture Framing

I am now offering custom picture framing services to people in the Salem, Oregon area.  I am a certified picture framer and have nine years of professional experience in a frame shop.  I provide excellent craftsmanship, a refined sense of design, and expert knowledge of the care and preservation of artwork.

How It Works

Allow me to preserve your treasured artwork, photos, souvenirs, collectibles, or important documents in a beautiful frame.

STEP 1:  Email me to schedule a free in-home framing consultation.  I will bring my frame moulding and mat samples to your home or business where we can design a framing order that will compliment your artwork as well as your space.  Or you can make an appointment to come to my home studio.

STEP 2:  I will write an invoice for your order and calculate a price that will be competitive with other frame shops in the area.  I offer two payment options: 1) Full Payment at the time you place the order or 2) you can pay half up front and half upon completion.  I accept cash and checks.

STEP 3:  I will carefully secure your artwork in archival materials for travel before I take it to my home studio where I will complete your framing order myself from start to finish.  I will stand behind every aspect of your framing order.

STEP 4: Upon completion I will deliver your finished frame safely to your door.

Products and Services

I specialize in contemporary, gallery style framing.

Frames
I currently offer 30 frame mouldings to choose from.
I have styles in black, white, maple, walnut, coffee-colored, silver, and gold.
The frames I use are solid wood.  Not polystyrene or pressed wood.

Matting
I carry only the highest quality matboard for preserving your artwork: Crescent Select and Crescent RagMat.
These are 100% archival quality matboards.  They are acid and lignin free to prevent discoloration and deterioration of your art.  Lignin is the bonding agent in wood-based papers, which over time and under certain conditions breaks down and contaminates artwork with acid, causing discoloration, fading, and deterioration.  Crescent RagMat is a cotton-based paper containing none of these contaminants, so you can feel secure that your artwork is safe.

Glazing
Museum glass - this is the highest grade framing glass available.  It provides 99% UV light protection, it is anti-glare, incredibly clear, and it will enhance the color and detail of your artwork.

Conservation Acrylic - This acrylic glazing provides 97% UV light protection, it is light weight, and shatter resistant.  It will not prevent glare or enhance clarity the way museum glass does, but it is more affordable.

Mounting
There are a variety of ways to mount different types of artwork.  Whether you have a photo, painting, print, cross-stitch, or three-dimensional object, I will probably be able to frame it.  Below are the specific types of mounts that I offer.  Feel free to contact me for more information on these mounts.
